Association ROD International at an international conservative event in Warsaw, Poland
ROD International was invited by the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture to participate in the Intermarium winter school initiated by the Intermarium University in Poland. Three of ROD’s youth, Dimitar Dimitrov, Debora Alexandrova and Georgi Gospodinov represented Bulgaria in the first event, which took place from 04.02 to 11.02 in Warsaw. The aim of this school is to bring together the young elite of the Intermarium countries, united by conservative ideas, such as preserving traditions. The Intermarium is a Polish idea that aims to unite countries with similar faith, values, culture, and is Christian in it’s basis. The whole concept of the training is to create ties and cooperation of the countries between three seas – Baltic, Black and Adriatic or more precisely the countries of Central Europe. The school is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 26 who want to gain useful knowledge about political thinking, debating and argumentation skills, the history, economy, and infrastructure of the countries of the Intermarium, cooperation in culture, education, politics, energy, analysis of Western legislations and more details about the new liberal policies that are coming.
All of this was presented in daily lectures by professionals in their respective fields:
Our representatives had the honour to meet Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz, Adviser to the President of Poland, with lecture on a topic: „Three Seas Initiative: Key Dilemmas, Vectors and Perspectives“,
speakers from Hungary from the Center for Fundamental Rights – Lóránd Szakáli and Péter Törcsi also hosted the topic „Intermarium: Central Europe, common values and interests. The Visegrad Cooperation as the best practice from which other Central European regional cooperation platforms can learn.“
Mr. Artur Górecki, Director of the General Education and Core Curriculum Department of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, also participated in the training and introduced the participants to education-related issues. At the beginning of the lecture, a letter was read out in which all participants received a warm greeting from The minister of education, prof. Przemysław Czarnek
There was also a meeting with the founders of Collegium Intermarium: Att. Bartosz Lewandowski Ph.D – Rector of the University and Filip Ludwin Ph.D. Deputy Rector for Training and Dean of the Faculty of Law.
And also Att. Jerzy Kwaśniewski, President of the Institute of Legal Culture Ordo Iuris with lecture on a topic: „Meaning of European and Christian identity in forming Intermarium community of nation“; Mr. Prof. David Engels, who told the participants about the true identity of Europe; and Mr. Artur Zawisza with the title: „Central Europe as a common economic, infrastructure and energy space“.
Intermarium is committed to the mission of protecting basic, fundamental rights and for this reason values, faith and identity are at the core. We are all in an ideological struggle with the West and this unites us, and for this reason we must get to know each other. After the camp, in which our supporters took part, we made new contacts and created new partnerships in the international conservative community.„
